I find myself becoming more and more interested in the GB Beach volley Ball team, especially Zara Dampney such a well rounded athlete and wonderful sport

When we got awarded the Games our economy wasn't in such a bad place, these Games may put a strain on the economy BUT surely the revenue it creates will only help it.

 

I personally love the Olympics and everything that goes with them, from the pomp of the opening ceremony to the tension of waiting for the gun in the 100 metres, moments in history on your own doorstep.

The reason this country is slowly getting ruined is that a minority won't get behind it if it doesn't interest them. The same people will probably whine about the number of migrants coming into the country.

The single greatest sporting event in the world and human history! Such a variety of athletes and sports, it's f*****g staggering what some of them can do. It's deffinately a good thing in my book, for Britain and it's economy (as long as the politicians and diplomats do their part).

I support my nation and I'm sure we will do well. As for it benefiting us financially , I doubt that very much, but hey now it's here hope Britain gets a few gold.
